Eltesja (PL)

Eltesja is a 2006 purebred Polish  mare, bred at the famous Michalow State Stud in Poland. Her sire is the world renowned Emigrant ( sold to the USA) by Ararat and from Emigrantka, whose dam is the legendary matriarch Emigracja. Eltesja's dam, Elgara is by Eldon from the Monogramm mare Elganda. Bred in the purple and tracing in both female lines to the immortal Estokoda, Eltesja is an invaluable broodmare for our stud. Being huge fans of the Polish horses for many years our wishes  came true with the acquisiton of this lovely mare. Eltesja arrived at Moondarra on February 15, 2009.

El Tessa (PL)

El Tessa (PL) a 2006 grey purebred Polish mare bred by the famous Michalow State Stud, Poland and was purchased by us at the 2009 Polish Festival Sale. "Elle" is by the European and Polish National Champion Stallion POGANIN whose sire LAHEEB needs no introduction. POGANIN was bred by Janow State Stud, Poland and has been a champion show horse who is now proving his worth in the breeding barn. POGANIN's dam, POHULANKA is from the famous "P" line horses of Janow.

Elle's dam, EL GHAZALA is by the etheral World, Polish and several times European show champion EKSTERN, the recipiant of the WAHO trophy in 2009. EKSTERN has produced show winners including the extravagant ESPARTO, himself a multi champion show horse. EL GHAZALA's dam EMIGRACJA is the matriarch of Michalow Stud, producing 14 offspring. When bred to EUCALYPTUS they produced several offspring who have had a profound influence in the Polish breeding program, two of which were Emigrantka and Emanacja. These two mares have founded breeding and show winning dynasties of their own. EL GHAZALA is the only offspring of this particular mating of EKSTERN and EMIGRACJA.

When we purchased Elle she was not in foal, but as she had to go back to Michalow Stud to have her testing done to allow for importation, we asked Director Jerzy Bialobok, to breed her for us to the world renown ELDON, which he very generously agreed to do. This was in August and well outside European breeding season, but it was accomplished prior to Elle's trip to England to begin her quarantine.  Elle arrived at Moondarra in January, 2010.

Debowa Polana (PL)

Polly is a 2005 grey purebred Polish mare, the latest of our acquisitions from Poland.  By the athletic producing Eldon and from the elegant and enchanting Laheeb daughter Debowa Gora, her tail female line is well represented world wide and have claimed champion titles in distant corners of the globe.  Apart from a rich show heritage, Polly easily held her own on the racetrack with 8 race starts in Poland in 2008 and 2009 for 1 x 1st, 1 x 2nd, 2 x 3rds.  Her breeding record to date has been all colts and she produced her latest colt foal on 1 May 2015 after arriving at Moondarra on Christmas Eve 2014.
