El Tessa (PL) a 2006 grey purebred Polish filly bred by the famous Michalow State Stud, Poland was purchased by us at the 2009 Polish Festival Sale. "Elle" is by the European and Polish National Champion Stallion POGANIN whose sire LAHEEB needs no introduction. POGANIN was bred by Janow State Stud, Poland and has been a champion show horse who is now proving his worth in the breeding barn. POGANIN's dam, POHULANKA is from the famous "P" line horses of Janow.

Elle's dam, EL GHAZALA is by the etheral World, Polish and several European show champion EKSTERN, the recipiant of the WAHO trophy in 2009. EKSTERN has already produced show winners including the extravagant ESPARTO, himself a multi champion show horse. EL GHAZALA's dam EMIGRACJA is the matriarch of Michalow Stud, producing 14 offspring, all but two were mares. When bred to EUCALYPTUS they produced several offspring who have had a profound influence in the Polish breeding program, two of which were Emigrantka and Emanacja. These two mares have founded breeding and show winning dynasties of their own. To date EL GHAZALA is the only offspring of this particular mating of EKSTERN and EMIGRACJA.

When we purchased Elle she was not in foal, but as she had to go back to Michalow Stud to have her testing done to allow for importation, we asked the Director Jerzy Bialobok, to breed her for us to the world renown ELDON, which he very generously agreed to do. This was in August and well outside European breeding season, but it was accomplished prior to Elle's trip to England to begin her quarantine.

We had her pregnancy tested in the UK prior to quarantine and she was found to be in foal. We have since had her tested here when she arrived home, as an importation/quarantine necessity and she is still positive in foal. Elle's foal will be due early August, 2010.
